 9 Why buy Thin-Lite lights?

Here are a few of my observations.

All but two of their lights (LED311-1 & LED312-1) are made in the U.S.A.
Camarillo, California to be exact.

If you have questions, you as the end user, can call them
directly.

They have been making lights for five decades.

Their fluorescent lights have a two year warranty, the led lights
have a three year warranty, from the date of installation.

No other lights come close to Thin-Lite's quality and reliability.

ALSO

When you buy an imported / knockoff light what do you do if
you have questions or a problem?
If there is any contact information on the fixture, is it an importer
who brings in goods by the container?
Do they know about their lights or are they now importing baby
rattles and non-stick frying pans?

We have some Thin-Lite led lights in use, currently two LED139P-2 and
two VFILED54P, since they started making them.
I have been using Thin-Lites since the late 1970's.
Anyone remember REC Specialties by Thin-Lite?

I have received many calls over the past few years from customers
who have purchased imported led and fluorescent lights.
On the up side, most of these did not perform as advertised.
On the down side, the failure rate is very high and eventually they
gave up trying to get it right and wound up purchasing a Thin-Lite.
Let's not forget about the calls where someone purchased a cheap
light to save a few bucks and wound up replacing the ceiling in their
rv or boat.

Many of our customers are manufacturers.
They specify Thin-Lite fluorescent or led lights in their
equipment/machine cabinets.
There is a reason for this, they can not deal with problems.
This is especially true for U.S. manufacturers who export
their machinery.

Another reason we sell Thin-Lite products is that I don't want
Christine, nor me, to have to deal with problem calls.

As the old saying goes:

"Some people will step over a dollar to pick up a dime."

John

You can use the following links to our
d.c. fluorescent lighting pages:

For portable weather resistant 12 volt d.c. lights:

For 12, 24, 28 and 48 volt d.c. inverter / ballasts:

A note on the color temperature of light:
The color of light is measured in degrees Kelvin.
A warm incandescent light (yellow color) runs around 2700 to 3100K ( 27K ).
A cool light (no color) runs around 4100K ( 41K ).
Daylight (blue tinged) is around 5500K ( 55K ).
A very cool/cold (very blue) light will run around 6500K ( 65K ).
